Edited by P G Wodehouse. Short stories by the likes of P G Wodehouse, H G Wells, Ian Hay, Somerset Maugham, A A Milne and Stephen Leacock. Undated (c. 1935), but an assumed A UK first edition. Well preserved and scarce thus.
Wrapper : The period wrapper on this copy is very bright, is clean and is complete. It is unclipped and, remarkably, it is unfaded. It shows slight wear at the top edges ( including two closed tears – on the front panel, one on the back ) and a small chip at the head of the spine. Looks very sharp in protective plastic.
Book : The book is square and very tight. The orange boards are very clean and are unfaded. The corners are sharp. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are toned. There are no loose or dog-eared pages. The binding is solid and without cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. A striking copy in a protected wrapper.
